The Coastal Railway Line at Platamon (Olympus Riviera, Pieria, Greece).
Soon this line will be in use again, after three years out of use.
It is protected as historical monument

The old abandoned (2004) railway line near Pinios River, is in use again.
Railway Friends Association of Larissa and Railway Mens Club-District of Larissa organize free fun trips.
The first trip was organized on July 2006.

Greek Rail Enthusiasts excursion by musean Alsthom A-367, organised by "Amnizia Greek Rail Forum".

It is the first model of trolleybuses in Greece.
Every year, the last Sunday before Orthodox Easter, ILPAP company undertakes it.
Its route is the same as sixty years before ( 1948 ) - Line 20 : Piraeus - Kastella
Nowadays route 20 is extended up to Drapetsona area.

This railway line was built by Chemins de fer Orientaux (CO) as a part of the Thessaloniki - Skopje - Mitrovitsa railway axis (1871-1874).
Nowadays Idomeni is the hellenic border station of this line.
This is the first electrified greek railway line (1997).
Thessaloniki - Idomeni distance is about 70 km.

It was a normal gauge tramway line (1936 - 1977).
It was loved by many people and nowdays it is planned to be reconstructed.

Last wagon photos during a trip from Larissa to Athens.
This is a normal gauge single and mountainous line, part of the axis "Athens - Thessaloniki".
The new double and electricified line will be ready until 2013.

My excursion to railway line "Paleofarsalos - Kalampaka" with my friend Panos Nakoudis.

At the anniversary of destruction (11 September) I visited Chalkis branch.

This line will be advanced and electricified.

Tramway, Metropolitan Railway, Electric Railway, Suburban Railway

It 's a narrow gauge railway line (600 mm-decauville) constructed by
the Italian mechanic Evaristo De Chirico - Company of Thessalian Railways.
The urban part of the line was simultaneously Volos Tramway.
The first part Volos - Ano Lechonia is near the coast, but
the second part Ano Lechonia - Milies is mountainous.
The initial plan about Pelion Railway included another line from Milies to Zagora, but
due to lack of money it was never constructed.
In 1970 the line abandoned, but in 1985 Minister of Culture Merkouri Melina
nominated the line as historical monument.
Nowadays OSE undertakes summer trains from Anavros to Agria and from Ano Lechonia to Milies.
